Career Connect is a large vibrant and innovative Charity delivering advice and guidance
services across the Northwest.

Originally established as Greater Merseyside Connexions in 2001 and later became a Charity
(April 2011) forming as Career Connect.

Since our formation as a Charity in April 2011, the Charity has gone from strength to strength.
With a workforce of 400+ employees and a passion for helping others realise their potential,
we help adults and young people make informed choices to succeed in work, education and
training.

We have successfully delivered a wide range of contracts and have expanded our reach well
beyond the Liverpool City Region, with significant delivery across Manchester and the North
West.

We have a strong relationship with 200+ schools as their chosen IAG specialist and deliver the
National Careers Service providing universal careers guidance to adults across the Liverpool
City Region, Cheshire & Warrington and Lancashire, in community venues such as job centres
and in prisons, supporting offenders.

Achieve North West Connect are a wholly owned subsidiary of Career Connect and specialise
in targeted support for offenders in custody and community (including ‘through the gate’)
helping people to overcome barriers and make positive changes/ achieve goals.

We also cover several local authority areas, delivering NEET services and have a significant
social investment programme - Unlocking Potential, who work with vulnerable young people
aged 14-17 (up to 25 for young people with SEND) that are NEET/at risk of becoming NEET.

Case Manager

Case Manager: Achieve North West Connect

We have a number of positions for you to work in community or custody settings:

 Cumbria: Barrow-in-Furness, 

Lancashire: Blackpool

Greater Manchester & Cheshire: Stockport and Tameside

If you have experience of working with offenders and you want to make a difference, we would love to hear from you. We’ll give you all the training you need to do the Case Manager job and provide you with support to get established in the new role. We employ a team of 45 Case Managers across the NW, who are very proud to work on this highly successful ESF programme.

We are especially looking for applicants who can connect with people to help move them forward, embrace the quality and compliance requirements and work towards targets.

The job will involve working with people in custody or subject to supervision in the community, to engage them in learning, training and employment opportunities, either through one to one interviews or group work.  You’ll need to be a good communicator and effective at working with partners to ensure the best results for our participants. Recording of accurate information on participant plans and progress is an important part of the job, so you’ll need to be comfortable working on systems and have a strong attention to detail.

Our full-time staff enjoy a reasonable 35h working week and we also offer flexi-time, so when we ask our staff to do extra, we always make sure they’ve got those hours to take back another time.  It’s a great benefit of working for Career Connect.

Case Managers are paid on a scale between £22,666 and £25,617 and you will be reimbursed for any additional travel, beyond your main base of work.   Our holidays start at 25 days + Bank Holidays and we give up to an extra 6 days a year for staff with longer service.
