Career Connect is a large vibrant and innovative Charity delivering advice and guidance
services across the Northwest.

Originally established as Greater Merseyside Connexions in 2001 and later became a Charity
(April 2011) forming as Career Connect.

Since our formation as a Charity in April 2011, the Charity has gone from strength to strength.

We have successfully delivered a wide range of contracts and have expanded our reach well
beyond the Liverpool City Region, with significant delivery across Manchester and the North

We have a strong relationship with 200+ schools as their chosen IAG specialist and deliver the
National Careers Service providing universal careers guidance to adults across the Liverpool
City Region, Cheshire & Warrington and Lancashire, in community venues such as job centres
and in prisons, supporting offenders.

Achieve North West Connect are a wholly owned subsidiary of Career Connect and specialise
in targeted support for offenders in custody and community (including ‘through the gate’)
helping people to overcome barriers and make positive changes/ achieve goals.

We also cover several local authority areas, delivering NEET services and have a significant
social investment programme - Unlocking Potential, who work with vulnerable young people
aged 14-17 (up to 25 for young people with SEND) that are NEET/at risk of becoming NEET.

Team Manager

We have a new exciting opportunity for a Team Manager (New Business) to join the charity, responsible for developing and managing a number of new business strands, including our growing work with the justice sector as well as new projects supporting vulnerable adults to progress in jobs and learning.

 This opportunity is a chance to really make a difference, by leading innovative and fast paced programmes, working with key stakeholders in the justice sector and welfare to work.

 The contract term is permanent and the postholder will be located in Liverpool City Centre, with regular travel expected across each of our areas in the north west.

Have you got experience of helping to develop new business proposals, strengthen partnerships, setting up new projects through implementation to handover stage? If so, we would love to hear from you. We’re especially keen to receive applications from people with some background or experience in the criminal justice or welfare to work sector.

 We’ll give you all the support to get established in the new role, which will see you:

 -Secure & manage additional business that provides services to offenders and vulnerable adults.

-Take a lead role in the development and delivery of Career Connect Services.

-Performance manage a group of Team Leaders and other staff.

-Manage and develop Career Connect services, to ensure that the team achieves

contract objectives, targets, in line with Career Connect Business Plan.

 Interviews will take place in the Career Connect Head Office, Exchange Flags, Liverpool with a date to be confirmed.

Our full-time staff enjoy a reasonable 35h working week and we also offer flexi-time, so when we ask our staff to do extra, we always make sure they’ve got those hours to take back another time.  It’s a great benefit of working for Career Connect.

 Team Managers are paid on a scale between £31,793 and £35,181 and you will be reimbursed for any additional travel, beyond your main base of work.   Our holidays start at 25 days + Bank Holidays and we give up to an extra 6 days a year for staff with longer service.
