services across the Northwest.

Originally established as Greater Merseyside Connexions in 2001 and later became a Charity
(April 2011) forming as Career Connect.

We have successfully delivered a wide range of contracts and have expanded our reach well
beyond the Liverpool City Region, with significant delivery across Manchester and the North

We have a strong relationship with 200+ schools as their chosen IAG specialist and deliver the
National Careers Service providing universal careers guidance to adults across the Liverpool
City Region, Cheshire & Warrington and Lancashire, in community venues such as job centres
and in prisons, supporting offenders.

Achieve North West Connect are a wholly owned subsidiary of Career Connect and specialise
in targeted support for offenders in custody and community (including ‘through the gate’)
helping people to overcome barriers and make positive changes/ achieve goals.

We also cover several local authority areas, delivering NEET services and have a significant
social investment programme - Unlocking Potential, who work with vulnerable young people
aged 14-17 (up to 25 for young people with SEND) that are NEET/at risk of becoming NEET.

Engagement Worker 1

We have an exciting opportunity for an Engagement Worker to join our teams in Liverpool, Knowsley and Wirral area for both Part time and Full time positions. 

You will be supporting young people 16-19 to access employment, education and training opportunities. Working with partners and in the local community, you will have a caseload of young people to follow up and engage. You will make referrals to other colleagues in the team who provide Coaching, Information, Careers Advice and Guidance support. If you have the enthusiasm and drive to make a difference to young people’s lives we want to hear from you.

As an Engagement Worker you will be expected to use innovative methods and approaches to engage those young people who have had a minimal contact with the service.

You’ll carry out telephone calls and attend home visits and will build respectful and trusting relationships with young people and their families who face difficulties/disadvantages through life, learning or work.

You’ll work closely with your peers and will have a network of others to support you, key partner agencies, training providers and voluntary organisations that you will signpost to.

Finance Manager

After more than 15 years with us, our Finance Manager is moving on to start a new challenge, therefore we are recruiting. Our people are passionate about the work they do, even those people who do not work face to face with our clients. Our Finance Team are fully committed to ensuring that our services are fully compliant with various funding regulations, accounting standards and the Charities SORP. We need someone with strong accounting skills and experience of producing accurate and timely management and statutory accounts. If you have the relevant experience and you would like to join us in making a real difference, then we would love to hear from you.

We are especially looking for applicants who are qualified accountants, or QBE but you must have a minimum Level 4 in a relevant qualification. You will have gained at least 5 years’ experience in finance and have a particular flair for presenting management information, which means using excel and other ICT-based solutions. There will be some line management of staff involved, so we’re looking for someone who has great communication and performance management skills, as well as a flexible approach.

We provide all the necessary office resources and a full induction to help ease you into the role, so you’ll be well equipped to succeed in the post. You’ll join our head office team, based in Exchange Flags Liverpool. It’s a fantastic place to work with great people to work with!

 Full-time staff enjoy a reasonable 35h week and we also offer flexi, so when we’re asking you to do extra, we make sure you’ve got those hours to take back another time.  

Our salary range starts at £31,793 and goes up quickly once you pass your 6-month probation.Holidays start at 25 days + Bank Holidays and we give up to an extra 6 days a year for staff with longer service.
