NEW OPPORTUNITIES TO JOIN OUR TRUSTEE BOARD

We are seeking to recruit new Trustees to our Board to strengthen its governance and diversity and to enable our charity to take forward its valuable work of transforming the futures of young people and adults.

Appointment of New Board Members: Career Connect is seeking to appoint at least 2 new members to join its Board of Trustees, who have the skills, experience and behaviours required to develop and deliver the charity’s aims, its strategic approach and future direction.

This is a unique opportunity to make a difference for the young people and adults who are in need of support to enable the transition into rewarding and sustained jobs and learning.

Career Connect is looking for prospective Board members who have experience of operating at Board or senior level within a charitable, public or private sector environmental and are able to demonstrate:- 

  • a high standard of ethics
  • independent, sound judgement
  • shared values
  • strategic vision
  • appropriate skills and attributes
  • genuine motivations for working with us
  • the ability to make good on and honour their commitment to us through appropriate investment of their time, expertise, experience, skills and capacity
  • understanding and following Nolan’s seven principles of public life: selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership
  • understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of being a Trustee
  • free of any conflicts of interest including independence from competitors and commissioners.

NB. Trustee appointments are unremunerated, although reasonable expenses may be reimbursed.

Please explain why you are interested in becoming a Trustee for our charity and identify your skills and competencies for the role by completing the Expression of Interest survey and uploading your resume / CV by no later than midnight on Sunday 13th May 2018.

(Please note: completion of the Equal Opportunities Monitoring element is optional)

A decision on the appointments will be made by Friday 29th June 2018
