In line with the Government’s Mindfulness Agenda, Career Connect offers a range of diagnostic psychometric solutions which address career management and planning for students.
These coaching and mentoring programmes focus on key qualities which are consistently identified by employers as essential to successful recruitment and sustained employment; such as performance, wellbeing and the ability to make the transition into new and different roles.
Through a variety of activities and research development skills, students are able to problem solve, recognising and developing their own solutions and are supported to implement their plans. This drives individual ownership and creates a self-sustaining capacity for Action Planning towards appropriate and successful transitions.
Coaching and mentoring activities address themes such as low self-esteem, limited aspiration and lack of opportunity awareness. They also enable students to understand and develop how they present themselves in a variety of situations and how this is perceived, from job applications, interviews through to daily interactions within the workplace.
Skill Explorer empowers student to explore, identify, aspire and pursue employment matched to personal attributes.
